A Family Business...
The Story of our family business can be traced back to 1928 at a play school in Limehouse where my 2 Grandmothers, Peggy & Kathleen, meet on their first day of pre school. It was to be the start of a friendship that lasted a lifetime
Fast forward to 1977 and Kathleen's daughter Janis, was asked out on a date by Peggy's son John on her 18th birthday. You could say it went pretty well as a couple years later they decided to tie the knot at St Edmunds Church, Loughton...followed by a no expense spared honeymoon to Bournemouth!
They bought a small photographic shop named Lindrum Photography soon after and went on to open 3 shops in Brentwood, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill whilst starting a family of their own.
After 40 years of photographing Weddings my Dad decided to hang up his camera and he passed me the reins. I now live in Ongar, Essex and work largely from home - this website is now our shop front.
It's hard to know what to say about yourself in these sort of things without sounding like David Brent, but I'll give it a go.
I'm very passionate about what I do and having grown up in this industry you could say it is in my blood. I accomplish the photos you see in my portfolio by sheer hard work and making sure I'm in the right place at the right time, whenever I'm shooting I never switch off. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to make you feel completely at ease in front of the lens. I like to think I'm able to do this as I'm a natural people person with a good sense of humour.
I think this WhatsApp I recently received from one of my Bride's sums it up pretty well... 'We went to a Wedding last Saturday and I cannot tell you how much better you were! All the girls will be booking you from my Wedding when they get married!'
